Suggested Description
Bopperty is a free, independent Irish property website built around the person making a move, not the advert. Where the portals show what's for sale, Bopperty shows what homes actually sold for: every residential sale recorded on the public Property Price Register since 2010, at national, county and Eircode-area level, with the register facts shown as filed alongside Bopperty Adjusted, its price trends computed under five adjustment rules published in full so the calculations can be checked and the trends traced back to the register data.
Free area reports across the Republic cover prices, schools, childcare, transport and demographics, with sources identified; readiness checks turn what buying, renting and selling involve into a checklist for your own situation; and through Head Start, estate agents publish homes on Bopperty before their wider marketing begins.
Bopperty is not an estate agent and is not a party to property transactions. Payment does not influence its reports, methodology, guidance, or the ordering or prominence of listings.
Bopperty doesn't score, rank or grade properties, listings or areas, by policyOur policy People. Bopperty deliberately excludes ethnicity, religion, nationality, disability and educational-attainment variables from the data used to describe or compare areas. Protected-ground information is not used to profile users, route introductions or assess which areas are suitable for them. No area is presented as right or wrong for a person or household. Places. Bopperty does not rank, score or grade areas. It does not publish 'best area' lists, composite area scores, crime ratings or property-level flood-risk ratings. Areas are described using sourced facts and clearly identified derived information; Bopperty does not turn those data into a judgment about whether an area is good, bad, suitable or unsuitable for a person or household. Properties and listings. Bopperty does not value, score or grade individual properties or listings. It does not use AI to value, score, grade or recommend an individual property or listing. Where Bopperty reproduces facts from the Property Price Register, the underlying register facts are presented as recorded by the source; any Bopperty-derived calculation or map positioning is separate.
Referencing Bopperty Content in Publication
When referencing Bopperty content, the following should be included:
- the date of the report or content;
- the relevant area or report ID;
- the price basis shown beside any quoted figure (Bopperty Adjusted or Register as published) and its as-of date;
- relevant source context, where the article relies on a particular section of a report;
- any correction status;
- that Bopperty figures are derived from published data under fixed published rules, not editorial judgement;
- the fact that Bopperty content is for general guidance only and is not a valuation, professional advice, or a regulatory determination.
A compliant reference names the area and its scope, the figure and its basis, and the period: for example, the median sale price in the W91 Eircode area over the twelve months to July 2026, on the Bopperty Adjusted basis. Every figure carries its own scope, basis and period on the page it appears on.

What Bopperty Does
Bopperty's core surfaces are the area report, sold-price pages at national, county and Eircode-area level, the affordability browser, and the buying, renting and selling hubs with their guides and readiness checks. The scale of the underlying data is set out on the home page, and how the sold-price figures are calculated is set out in full on the methodology page. Head Start, through which PSRA-licensed agents can publish homes ahead of their wider marketing, is signing up agents now.
Reports are generated from public, licensed, third-party, and derived data sources including the Property Services Regulatory Authority, the Central Statistics Office, the Sustainable Energy Authority of Ireland, the Department of Education, the National Transport Authority, and others.
Use of public or licensed source data does not imply endorsement, approval, sponsorship, verification, or partnership by any source body.
Reports and content are for general guidance only. Bopperty is not a licensed property services provider, does not act as an estate agent, and does not provide regulated advice. The About page describes Bopperty in further detail.
